He is known for his provocative and controversial campaigns and ideas that transformed the fashion world. He spent most of his childhood in Santa Fe, new Mexico even though he was born in Austin, Texas. When he reached adolescence, he moved to new York, where he enrolled at NYU to take art history courses. By 1992, he was the creative director of the large enterprise. In January 2000, the successful man assumed the position of creative director for Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche and YSL Beaute. His creative and controversial ad campaigns for YSL fragrances opium and m7 were a huge hit. Before leaving thItalianan power house, Ford had more than double of the company’s market value. In April 2005, he returned to the United states and forged his own brand. In the same year, his company formed a partnership with estée lauder. Together, they developed a line of premium fragrances and cosmetics. The first fragrance produced under this alliance was a huge success, which led to more perfume releases in succeeding years.
