La Nuit De L’homme Le Parfum Cologne by Yves Saint Laurent, La Nuit De L’Homme Le Parfum, which translates as ‘the night of the man’, was launched in 2009. It is a spicy, masculine scent with enticing notes. The top notes consist of bergamot, black pepper, and anise. The middle notes are French labdanum, lavender and fruits and the base notes comprise vetiver, patchouli and vanilla.
Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent was born in French Algeria in 1936. Interested in couture from an early age, he would design clothing for his mother and sisters. He moved to Paris to study fashion when he was only 17 and he was soon introduced to Christian Dior, who he credits with teaching him about his craft. In 1961, he founded his own label, Yves Saint Laurent, with his partner Pierre Berge. The brand is known for its luxury clothing as well as shoes, jewelry, accessories, leather products, cosmetics and fragrances, with its first perfume launched in 1964.
